Is it really working without any mods?
Hi there, I have an APEX AD-1500 and I am trying to figure out what works and what doesn't, as far as Kwag's templates go. Is KVCDx3 MPEG 2 really working without any modification to it? From your post I understand that the ONLY thing that you change is the resolution from 528 to 544 x 480, right? Nothing else? And how long of a movie can you fit on one 80min cdr? Thanks a lot,
alekov@prodigy.net  |
APEX AD-1500 plays KVCDx3 at 544x480 mpeg-2 very well like other apex. Supports 23.976fps as well.
I am successful with wide-screen content upto 120min in 1 cd. This depends on content but atleast 70min. widescreen content should fit in at this resolution and 2-overscan blocks. |
AD-660
I haven't tried a KVCD because the DVD-Models page said it won't work with this player (the only stand alone one I own).
Are you saying KVCD works with an Apex AD660 with the new version? |

Apex removed VCD playback around April of 2002 on most of their players.
But for Apex info and what you can do to your player... look here... http://www.nerd-out.com/forum/ Edit: Taken from Apex Forum Players built before mid-April (April 15?) VCD claims: YES VCD support: YES Players built between mid-April and roughly the first week of August VCD claims: NO VCD support: NO Players built after roughly the first week of August VCD claims: NO VCD support: YES Again, the dates are only estimates. You might encounter a player built in September that lacks VCD support, and you might find one built it July that has VCD support. |
