GE 1105P / Samsung DVD-709 - Not enough power

This DVD player doesn't have the processing power to handle VCD at 705x480 encoded with the KVCDx2 template. It will play, but both the audio and video stutter and run at less than 30 fps. This really isn't much of a surprise with this player.

Hi Dan:

Maybe re-encoding with a different VBV value will solve the problem on this model.

Thanks. I'm not going to go to the trouble to experiment with this player too much. It doesn't even support media larger than 650MB, so I use it strictly for DVD playback. My other player is extremely versatile (we use it in the car too) and it plays KVCD's fine.

The 709 works great with unbranded princo media and the vivistar white labell discs. All 80minute 700mb. But yes it sadly stutters with kvcd templates. :(
