Hi miksmith,
That's the reason why all KVCD templates above 352x480 have the MAX bit rate set to 2,500Kbps  Almost every player supports bit rates up to that on MPEG-1 (VCD mode), but above 2,600Kbps problems start to arise. -kwag |
You learn something new every day!! It makes sense to have a defined max leve. It would appear though that, for my player anyway, a sustained high level causes jerky playback. The standard deviation of bitrate would give a better idea of what that is. I noptice that, for my slightly out of date KVCD Plus 352v576 template its set at 2300. I guess probably needs to be lower for me.

@ ARAGORN,
Please try to contact the author of All4(S)VCD and ask him if he can (or have plans to) release an english version :!: That program ROCKS :!:. I can understand most of it ( spanish and french are closer than english and french  ), but it would be great if we had an english version  Thanks, -kwag |
