Question about AIWA dvd Players

Hello to all!

Does anyone know what is the minimum bitrate that AIWA DVD players have. I realized that the minimum bitrate of 300kbps may be too low for this type of player since the KVCD films I encode stutters in low-motion scenes (I encoded 'XXX') although in the hard disk there are no problems.

BTW, I use AIWA DV170 portable DVD player

Thanks.

Hi raphaelf,

Try a MIN of 600. Encode a couple of dark scene clips and try them out :D

Just an Update

Hi, kwag!

Just an update regarding the minimum bitrate issue on my Aiwa player.

I found out recently that maybe it's not the min bit rate that's the problem, but maybe somewhere between my encoding to the burning process. I still use those 2500/300 bitrates and I recently observed that when the stuttering starts then I scanned the movie backwards right before the stuttering started then hit the play button again, the problem disappeared! That means, the movie played good on the second playback. Could you give me some of your possible reasons for this and how to solve this nagging problem in my encodes.

Thanks.
