faint snowy bar scrolls up from bottom of screen?
 

this bar will start at the bottom and go all the way to the top then reapear at the bottom and start over again.should tempgenc be set on interlace or non interlace?

I can only guess but maybe you captured someting from your VCR?
If I do this from mine I have to pluck out the Antenna or I get exactly that what you describe. If so this 'bar' is visible in the original stream too.
