JVC XV-SA70BK And New JVC XV-S500BK PLAY kvcd PERFECT!

[b]I would like to add the JVC XV-SA70 and XV-S500BK DVD Players to the KVCD and KVCDx2 full compatibility list. These players have played any standard or non-standard MPEG-1 or MPEG-2 content I have thrown at them no matter if it is VBR,CQ, or CBR mode. They play KVCD (352X480) and KVCDx2 (704X480 CQ50,70) at DVD quality, VCD, CVCD (352X480 MPEG-2), SVCD (480X480 MPEG-2) flawlessly with perfect audio/video synch and fast forward and rewind functions. The picture quality with the KVCDx2 2CD template at CQ70 or above is DVD quality on both my 27" Tube TV with component inputs, and my fully calibrated Toshiba 57H81 HDTV via 480P component inputs. The KVCDx2 blows SVCD at 2520 CBR away in picture quality and of course file size. I do notice the flashing greenish macro blocks every 2 seconds or so with KVCD templates, but only when viewing on the PC and not on TV. I would like to add that neither the KVCD or KVCDx2 videos played right on an Apex 500WM I tested them on. It has been noted that it is the resolution that the 500WM can't handle so that would explain why. I would like to conclude by saying that those two JVC DVD players that I own are of top quality and reliability, and have the best combination of picture, sound, and compatibility with anything MPEG-1 or MPEG-2 that I have found of any DVD player out there. 8)

Hi hurtz777,
Is it possible to post a photo of your JVC DVD players because Asian market may have different model number ( but they may be the same DVD player).

Just go to this link for pictures of those JVC DVD Players. http://www.jvc.com/product.jsp?productId=PRD2000000 By the way the only difference between the XV-SA70 and the XV-SA75GD is the XV-SA70 is black and the XV-SA75GD is gold. Hope this helps.
