APEX AD-660: KVCD 352x240 = Perfect

Donno whats changed in templates but the new templates at 352x240 are working perfect. IN FitCD, I changed macroblock rounding from 32 to 16 to get 240 instead of 224. All player buttons work. But when I use VCDEasy chapters, they work but the player hangs once I press Forward or Rewind.

Other Higher resolutions also work but video is skipping every 2 seconds for a pulse. changing template to 29fps improves but not eliminates the short video skipping.

Testing done with Indian DVD source 29fps NTSC UNKNOWN Interlaced.
No changes in Templates. AviSynth script: Telecine filter applied to remove interlacing.

I am happy with 352x240 for now. Still going to test NTSC DVDs etc.

i have tried the skvcd samples..kate and leopold and farscape..and both work perfectly..i just burned them as svcds with std compliance off in nero

That's good to hear apex660. The SKVCD's should play in every DVD player that supports SVCD playback. Now you can encode your movies in SKVCD format, and have a longer playing time than SVCD's and CVD's. ( Plus added bonus of higher quality than either ) :lol:
