Pioneer DV-343 vs JVC XV-521BK

The Pioneer blows chucks on the new KVCD beta template @352x480. Only plays on the left half the screen. Looks weird....

Plays fine on the above mentioned JVC though. A little choppy, but it plays.

I may not have muxed the file together properly and will try again, if it fixes anything I'll post back.

My encode was of Shallow Hal @ 352x480 using the new CQ_VBR beta template.

Pioneer dv 343

I made a' movie with KVCD-LBR , fitted 2 Hours 7 min at one
700's Cd. (800Mb)
It works fine on my computer, and the dvd player in my computer.
But in my Pioneer, the sound is bad. Struttering, jumping. :(

remux

Pioneer only runs well with 'standart' resolutions with vcd. If the result is a movie playing only on a top-left corner, remux to svcd and then try again, thats runs for me.
If the result is a jumpig sound, i only have success with min bitrate over 600 and then remuxed with Bbmpeg (NO WITH TMPEG).
If your file is small in vcd, try to encode with mpeg-2 and burn as svcd, this looks ok and no sound problem, but the resultant file is largest than the mpeg-1 encoded.
