Pioneer dv-733a Plays Kvdcd x2 704x480 plus template as well as the older template.
only thing I have to set the minimum bitrate at 700 for movies with extensive full black frames like sixth sense ,other movies 300 works just fine.I set the system tag to video cd instead of video cd non standard my player seems to like it better.The kvcd plus template is very stable picture, in low motion even on my hdtv ready widescreen 32 loewe aconda u will be fooled into thinking its the original dvd.I have backed up
three movies so far, two with the old template and one with the new template.I made sample tests of the other kvcd templates the kvcd2 704x480x 1cd works on my player ,352x480 also works but same rules applywith regard to min bit rate and system setting.the 352x240 when I put system tag as video cd the filesize is shown as that of a normal cbr vcd instead of vbr and that means 80 minutes for an 80 minute cd ,I cant use the nonstandard which has the correct filesize so it fails with the 352x240.
