Hi Guys,

I have been backing up two of my DVD's to one KDVD and I ripped the subs from them using subrip and I have the .srt files.

The problem is I use DVD-Lab Pro and I can't see where I can add the subs to my movie.

Id like to have switchable subs like proper DVD's have where you can have them on or off.

Can anyone help me?

TIA.

Which beta do you have ? Only last betas (from number 2 or 3 maybe) import directly external suntitles in srt format.

Before this, you can't imoort them in dvd-lab. You have to use ifoedit to creates vobs with subtitles and import them into dvd-lab with "no demux".

But ifoedit uses its own format (sup) that is not sub (vobsub) or srt (text). Are you sure you want to go their ?

Thanks for the info Phil, I was still using beta 1 of the pro version.

I thought I updated it but I must have forgotten to.

I dont fancy going down the IFOEdit route that sounds far too complex for a poor noob like me.

Thanks again Phil I shall update my version now.

FYI I'm sutck to beta1 also because 2 and 3 (I do not tested 4 and 5 that were released after that) were SOOOO buggy that I never manage to compile a DVD !

I confess that this is the part that takes me the most time when I do a KDVD

Thanks again Phil for the info I did read on Mediachance's forum about the bugs in beta's 2 & 3 I just don't understand how they could let so many bugs creep in after each new beta.

Would I be better off buying TmpgAuthor? Can that handle subs?

Lol I did a web search and found that out also that TmpgAuthor cannot add subs.

Unforunately Phil I won't have time to test the new beta as I will be to busy today and Im away for the weekend and wont be back to Tuesday so I shall test out the new beta then.

Thanks for all your help though Phil I do appreciate it.
