a traslation of original BJ portuguese excelent guide.

We need:

SubRip: http://zuggy.wz.cz/
DVD-lab PRO: http://www.mediachance.com

Run SubRip. ClickVOB.

1. Click Abrir IFO.
If you already extracted subtitles VobSub or with VoSub subtitle ripper, select IDX created.
2. Select subtitles to extract.
3.Action, mark Subtitle -> BMP.
4. Click Start.

5. Mark Sonic DVD creator.
6. Select Custom colors and contrast

7. Select colors as defaults or try another ones (I always leave it as default).

7.1 Escolha Sonic DVD Creator.
8. Click OK.
Wait, extracting subtitles.

9. Click Output format -> Select format

10. Select Sonic Scenrist (*.sst)
11. Click Convert to format.

12. Click File > Save as.
Save as SST file in same folder as bitmaps.

Run DVD-Lab PRO.
Load audio and video.


13. In Movie window click SUB 1.

14. Click Import and open your SST.
15. Click first subtitle line to preview it no little screen at right side.
16. Unmark Zoom 1:1 option.
17. Do select what you want or leave it as default!
18 . Click Generate Subtitle Stream.

Isn't there a problem with BMP subtitles when you do a KDVD that is not in the same resolution than the original DVD one ?

Be carefull ! The problem is perhaps not noticiable if you use 704*576 but if en encode in 352*576, I wonder if DVDLabo Pro will resize the bitmap correctly or not :?:

I don't know it.
It deserves a test.
Not problem when I encoded 704*576 (until now always).
