How to do a backup of software (on my Mac) that was downloaded ?

Some of the software on my mac, like paragon snapshot was in a download form only(I did not get any CD's for it.

how do I go about backing up individual softwares that I got in only download form?

Burn it to a disc.
And/or copy it to a backup hard drive, and place it by the other files on the disk.
