How to put files from CD on a DVD?
I have a cd with nzr files on it, i believe it is, and they need to be put on a DVD. I loaded the CD-R into DVD Decrypter, but nothing came up.
How do I transfer these onto a DVD? |
DVD Decrypter is not the right tool for this. DVD Decrypter is a simple disc image read/write utility.
Use ImgBurn, which has the ability to "build" discs from files -- not just read/write images -- and it also works with CD and Blu-ray. Another option is CDBurnerXP. It's another good burning freeware. I have no idea what a .NZR file is, so I'm assuming you just want to burn data files as a data disc. |
ok, I'll give ImgBurn a shot. However, how do I get the files from the CD onto the computer so I can import them into ImgBurn? I assume that's what I'd have to do?
|
If you're just copying disc to disc, from source to CD to a new CD -- with no changes (i.e., exact copy) -- use CDBurnerXP.
It has a basic copy mode, and works fine. Easier than ImgBurn, for this specific task. |
Well, it's actually a CD to a DVD. When I right click on the files in the CD, it says they're all NZB files. Do you think if I change them to MPG, that could work?
Since it's CD to DVD, should I still use that CDBurnerXP program? |
No.
Copy all the files off the CD onto your hard drive. "Build mode" a new DVD in ImgBurn, dragging the files off the hard drive to the build window in ImgBurn. Don't attempt direct CD to DVD burning -- it really won't work. |
ok, do i still need the CDBurnerXP program?
stupid question...when you say copy all the files off the cd onto the hard drive, do you mean just right click each file & paste it onto the hard drive? or is there another way that i should do it? |

I copied them all & put them onto the hard drive. However, they're still as .nzb format. I tried to open them in ImgBurn, but they're not showing up in the harddrive list where I saved them to.
I also tried changing the .nzb to .mpg and opening them in DVD Workshop, so I could add menus & stuff, but they wouldn't open even after I changed them to .mpg. It said file format mismatch.. |
That's not a standard video format.
I don't know what it is. You'll need to ask whoever gave it to you. |
