Best brands of speakers for a PC in 2013-2014?

In the world which are the best brands of speakers for PC?

lordsmurf 09-29-2013 01:35 PM

They don't look like typical speakers, but the Harman Kardon Soundsticks are awesome. Worth every penny (~$200).

The clear plastic (hard plastic, almost like glass) is said to be stylish. They're sold with higher-end computers from Sony and Apple.

Right now, we have Monsoon MH-500, which are very rare studio-grade speakers from ~2000-2002 (true range, not just on paper). If one ever broke, we'd likely get these, as they're really good. The range isn't quite as perfect, but none are, for 2.1 or greater setups under $500.

The Edifier is among the best brands of speakers for PC in the world?

1 a 2.1 system is always better than a 2.0 system?

2 what are the best brands of speakers for PC?

3 What should I know to choose a good speaker with good bass and good treble?

4 I do not like speakers wood because they can be attacked by termites and other wood pests, and also because of the humidity and heat

A 2.1 is not always better than a 2.0, though in concept it is. The .1 stands for independent base, but if all speakers are crap then its really for naught. I have a set of 2.0 JBLs that sounds better than most 2.1's.

Since sound is subjective, I would stop by Best Buy or a similar store and try some out. Best Buy will price match most online retailers, so you can pick them up on the spot.

I have these and love them, and they were only $60, but are massively loud for their size.

This 2.1 speaker http://www.fortrek.com.br/home/21-ca...bwoofer-bivolt is better or worse than this http://www.edifier-international.com...ltimedia/m1250

Which system has better sound and better bass?

I've seen you say several times that you can't be X in Brazil. Why do you limit yourself in this way? Is there something difficult about buying and importing what you need? I buy what I need, no matter where it comes from -- Australia, Canada, UK, Germany, Poland, etc. I buy things worldwide. That's the beauty of (A) the internet, and (B) mail. I'm not confined to just shopping locally. That would be too limiting!

As far as your last post, I'm not familiar with those. (One link doesn't even load -- either the site is down, or it insists on javascripts, which I deny.) Wish I could help more. At the point, I'd advise you to research used reviews. How much does those costs. Speakers that are under $200 are generally just 'blah' consumer equipment. Not bad, but not studio grade responsiveness. Not that you need or want that anyway.

lordsmurf 07-21-2014 04:39 AM

No, sorry. Without hearing them, I'd just be guessing.

I have a subwoofer with bass duct system, the duct there is the possibility of entering air with dust and will damage the driver and the circuit board in the future?

Here are the pictures:

lordsmurf 07-21-2014 06:57 AM

Nah, I have speakers that are 50 years old and are still fine. Dust doesn't really damage then. :old:

gamemaniaco 07-21-2014 07:01 AM

its speakers have air inlet duct as my woofer have? coolers pc accumulate a lot of dust and I believe that is not an electronic sealed can accumulate dust and heat the driver and the circuit board
