What is the most reliable CD/DVD/BR combo drive?

Hello.
I would like to ask what is the best combo drive for 3 5" optical media we use today?
I've heard legends about Plextors.
I am building new PC from modules and I need the best drives there are.
SCSI drives are welcome.

Plextor was never anything special. It just cost more, for no reason, and too many people think that higher cost = higher quality. That in itself is a marketing gimmick.

LiteOn BD drivers scanned media the best, but those models are now gone.

Pioneer is still the best burner.
For example, the BDR-209DBK: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...9SIA0ZX2C39324
Currently $64 on Newegg.

I ckecked what Pioneer has to offer and settled on BDR-2209, as it has support for BDXL, which might be useful for large data backups.
