AVI thumbnail buggy in Windows?
 

So for some reason after I did a fresh install of Windows 7, I noticed the thumbnails for .avi containers were completely buggy. I attached a picture of what they all look like.

I tried replacing the avi .reg file with the original one but still nothing.

Please help, this is so annoying!

Possibly VLC's fault?

When I uninstalled VLC, the thumbnail was still like that, re-installed and the same. I have no clue what this could be.

I saw something similar when installing Win7 on my new desktop late last year. Worse yet, I was getting warning messages about codecs. After I installed ffdshow, I believe everything sorted itself out.
