The resolution 800x600 is not very high for this size but for this price it seems a good deal & a great gift for parent or grand parent.

The odds of grandma knowing the difference between 800x600 and something higher is about the same as her teaching a class in rocket science. Same for many parents, depending on how old they are. Beyond 1024x768, at that size of screen, you can't see much extra detail anyway. I remember when computers had 800x600 15" CRT monitors and looked good!

So I'd say the size is decent, price is pretty good.

Most frames in the 12-inch range, especially for higher res sizes, are in the $125-200 price range. Amazon has quite a few frames, too. Their cheapest 12-inch frame is still $3.50 more than this one, no USB, and no remote. See those at http://www.amazon.com/gp/redirect.ht...reative=390957

Some nice items at Focal Price.

True.

ViewSonic VFM1530-11 15" for $130 seems a good alternative for bigger screen, 1024x768 & famous brand.
