Ripping DVDs - Current DVD Decrypter alternatives?

I use DVD Decrypter, but it will not work on some of the newer store bought dvds I wanna make a backup copy of. Just wondering what everyone else is using these days. Also... if it's free software, can you send a link? :D

DVD Decrypter for everything but "new movies".
For those, you can use DVD Fab 5 in free mode. Get it at http://www.dvdfab.com/download.htm

LS, sorry if this is a dumb question, but do you just rip the entire dvd and then shrink with dvd shrink? I can only shrink it with my 30 day trial

I use AnyDVD with CloneDVD2 or DVD2One, although DVD Shrink doesn't do a bad job.

You can rip with DVDFab 5 or DVD Decrypter, and then use DVD Shrink to shrink, yes.

Has anyone used a product called FixVTS after using DVDFab 5, and before using Shrink? What does FixVTS fix and/or repair?
If these questions should be a seperate topic, please move this post.

its so much faster just to use clonedvd2 with anydvd. dont have to go through no settings just keep hiting next then burn. u can choose not to have audio languages/subtitles you dont understand to have a little bit better quality. but over all looks pretty good to me especially on burning dual layer to single layer

FixVTS isn't really needed anymore, since DVDFab 5.
