ATI DVD player

My ATI 128 AIW has a cd with version 1.07 marked on it.

When I tried to install DVD player d/loaded from ATI site, it asked for a CD and mine was not accepted.

Is there a way to d/load and install a proper ATI DVD player for this card please?

I had to use a third party MPEG2 driver to get by.

In all honesty, the old ATI DVD player is dated, and not very good. I forget who makes it, but it's old technology. The ATI DVD player is just software, and is nothing special.

Most pre-built new computers come with DVD player software, like PowerDVD and WinDVD. So do CD and DVD readers and burners. As well as many other pieces of video and graphics hardware.

But to DIRECTLY answer your question, no. You are probably not going to be able to get the ATI DVD player to run. Especially not if you have updated the 128 PRO to ATI MMC 8.7 (and trust me, the MMC is more important than the DVD player).

Thanks. I guess I should have made my question a bit more clearer. I looked for the ATI player as the 8.7 fix did not work without, from what I read, the ATI DVD player. I think it did not work because the MPEG2 decoder software was missing.
