Magnavox MDR867H/F7 DVD recorder not seeing OTA?
 

This unit is going wacky....For my MDR867H/F7...why can't I get an OTA TV channel (29.1), even after scanning, it is on my TV? I get all the other channels, but one on this unit. I can see the channel (29.1) on OTA tv but when scanning on DVR, it just doesn't appear. There is no way, that I have found, to add the physical station like I could on the MDR535H. The MDR867H just scans after trying to add a channel and won't let me add a physical one. How do I fix this?

In years past, I came across odd issues where channels were not where they were supposed to be on DVD recorder tuners. For example, channel 8.1 would be on something like 54.1, for no reason that I could ever find. So the channel you want may be showing up elsewhere.

Some DVD recorders have lousy tuners, and refuse to pick up channels seen by TVs or other recorders.
