Hello,

I found on our attic a Akai VC-110 camera +VT100S recorder, can anybody tell me if this has still any value? There are still in their original box and everything is still working.

Maybe as a collectable, or if if it works and someone has tapes from which they want to recover the video. Check the auction sites.

From LabGuy's World
Akai VC-110 B/W vidicon camera VC-110: B/W vidicon camera for the VT-110 portapack. This camera has a 8~54mm / f1.8 zoom lens, a "through the lens" optical viewfinder and a built in microphone. Photo: LabGuy.

Akai VT-100 and VT-110 VTRs owned by Sheldon Galbraith VT-110: New photo! B/W, 1/4 inch tape, 2 head, half helical, omega wrap, 11.25 IPS, 20 min record time with 1100 foot, 5" diameter roll of tape. Shown here with VM-110 sidecar monitor. The VT-110 could record from either the camera or from a television receiver / monitor. The VT-110 also has still frame and sound overdub features. An optional television receiver unit could be installed between the VTR and the 3" monitor allowing for off the air recording. ...

OK, thank you for your fast reply, can't really find him on auctions. But if I get about 100 euro/dollar for it I should be a happy man.

Okay thanks

Do you think the guys you sold it to would be selling it ?

michaelfreak 03-19-2018 10:30 AM

I think not, the guy was a collector himself.
