Just finished up with a big digitization project and need to sell all my equipment! Please read all descriptions on the stuff! Prices include shipping (only to the US, PM me if you are in EU and interested)

VCRs
Panasonic AG-1980 - Had professionally recapped and can provide documentation. This machine just recently went through about 200 tapes and did incredibly well. Playback is great and TBC works great. Occasionally you'll come across an LP tape that doesn't take well. When this happens, you get the error code "0 03 11". Like I said, this is pretty rare (1 out of 100 tapes). Missing door flap and jog wheel cover, but doesn't affect functionality. Just trying to be as transparent as possible. She's ugly but she'll get the job done. Asking $950.

- JVC HR-S9500U - This deck is also solid. TBC works great. Used it on a lot of tape and it has some of the best playback I've seen on a deck. Comes with the original manual and remote. $750

Capture Card
- ATI 600 Capture Card - Purchased from lordsmurf. Work great! $135

PC
- Modern Windows 7 Machine - Windows 7 Ultimate, 16 GB of DDR4 RAM, 13th Gen Intel i5. This thing cooks. Built it for capturing in Windows 7 while using modern hardware. It was a pain in the ass to build so let my struggles be your gain! $600

PM me if you have any questions!

Just got finished with some digitization projects and am selling my whole workflow! All prices include shipping. Shipping is only to the US.

I'm a new member - just getting started on looking at the best methods for capturing VHS tapes to preserve them as best as possible. Most of my tapes are Pal (even though I am located in the US) ... so I started out looking for a good quality Pal VHS player and I've been non-stop reading posts on here about capturing video. I might be jumping the gun here a little too quickly - but the PC you have and the capture card are probably going to save me a lot of time and hassle!

Everything is sold but the PC and the AG-1980, however the AG-1980 is now having serious issues with LP tapes. Seems like it may be a video card issue. SP tapes are still working great though.

I'd be interested in the AG-1980 if it worked well - I have mostly EP tapes to transfer. Any idea what's wrong with it and the effort to fix it? Perhaps the recap has a loose solder joint?
