For sale: Monsoon speakers, EXCELLENT for audio restoration! [SOLD]
December update: Only one left!
I'm letting one my Monsoon speaker sets go. In 2001-2002, Monsoon released an almost-reference-grade (ie, high-end professional performance) set of speakers, but for a fraction of the price (aka under $200). Most consumer speakers are like many CDs: cooked, with terrible to passable audio. But these Monsoon are VERY accurate, with an excellent response curve above 10kHz. Better yet, unlike reference speakers, these are 2.1, meaning you get 2 flat panels, and a subwoofer. It use a special dual planar technology. Sadly, Monsoon went bankrupt in the mid 2000s. As such, these are highly sought. Lots of low-end speakers hide noise (hiss, hum, etc), as well as add its own noises -- noting that your power grid has some affect on this. With these, you can hear it almost perfectly. And that means you can remove it perfectly, too. Note: These Monsoons are infamous for the pucks (external volume knob) breaking, and this set is no different. You simply use the OS volume control. Asking only $100. Again, extra equipment, backup of a backup Trivia: I test speakers with 80s heavy metal. |
I've updated the first post.
I'm going to sell one more set. After this, I'm not letting anymore go! |
