PAL/NTSC standards conversion TBC for sale!
 

I've not seen these offered for sale in probably 10-15 years now. :2cents:

Mine is made by Cypress, and is essentially the same as this unit: https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/produ...Converter.html

But I won't be asking anywhere near that. :eek:

In hardware, it converts
- PAL to NTSC
- NTSC to PAL
- SECAM to PAL
- SECAM to NTSC

Hardware conversion isn't as good as software conversion, but it's much faster. And for many, speed with decent quality matters more than slow with perfect quality.

The TBC function works like this:
- PAL to NTSC = works!
- NTSC to PAL = works!
- SECAM to PAL = works!
- SECAM to NTSC = works!
- PAL to PAL = does NOT work!
- NTSC to NTSC = does NOT work!

The circuits for TBC are only engaged when processing the signal.

This thing works very nicely for projects where standards conversion is needed. :congrats:

Price: $200. Original cost was $400+ when new.
