I understand if you specifically need a TBC-100, but there is currently a DataVideo TBC-1000 for sale in this thread: http://www.digitalfaq.com/forum/mark...bc-1000-a.html

Thank you for the offer. But I need TBC-100 on my computer. The TBC-100 card can capture video, so I just need a TBC-100 card on my computer.

The TBC-100 is not a capture card. It's just a TBC.

Furthermore, these exact TBC-100 PCI cards were rare even 10 years ago, and odds of finding one is near zero.

You need to post a question in the workflow forum, and we can help you get situated.

I do have some ATI 600 USB capture cards available (one of the better USB capture cards around). And those fit your budget as well. That might be what you actually need, in terms of capturing.

Can not TBC-100 card capture video if I use Virtualdub software?

But I'm really sticking to the VHS cassette for digitizing a good capture card on my computer. I have a Roxio VHS DVD 3 Plus capture device. But it may not be good enough. I would like a good capture card on the PCI or PCI-e bus.

I've already bought a Panasonic Panasonic NV-HS1000 video recorder, and it is itself the TBC operation, as well as other image editing functions.

I also need a good capture card, preferably on a PCI or PCI-e bus.

According to this, the TBC-100 can also be used for video capture: https://forum.videohelp.com/threads/...ersus-TBC-1000

How it works:

- Input a video signal into the TBC-100 using s-video or composite input. Connect the signal cable to the TBC-100's Input connector marked as "SIN" for s-video input or "VIN" for composite input.

- Output the corrected signal from the TBC-100's output connection marked as "SOUT" for s-video output or marked as "VOUT" for composite output. Connect the output cable to a capture device.

- The TBC in the Panasonic NV-HS1000 is a line-level tbc. The TBC in the TBC-100 PCI is a frame level tbc.
You need both types of TBC for VHS capture.

- The TBC-100 PCI is not a capture device. It was designed primarily to interface with either a PCI or AGP capture card mounted above or below it in the same computer.

The real tell-tale is visually obvious: the PCI slot is inert, a dummy nothing. There are no chips/teeth present, and it has zero interface with the computer. The TBC-100 simply uses the 12V rail molex power, and takes up a slot. Capturing is impossible.

That VH post does not say the TBC-100 captures video, he refers to "capturing" in a broader sense. (Old post, too! I've not seen some of those folks in many years online.)
