Patriot Xporter XT Rage, Corsair Voyager Mini And Super Talent Express Duo Advice
I did not know this section of forum also is relevant to usb thumb drives. I need advice, i want to buy 8GB usb thumb drive but do not know which of above 3 will be best.
I need reliable and durable usb thumb drive with average speed which preferrably supports USB boot. Here are prices: Patriot Xporter XT Rage - 85 ILS Warranty: Life Time
Corsair Voyager Mini - 95 ILS Warranty: Life Time
Super Talent Express Duo - 60 ILS Warranty: 1 Year
To emphasize, Corsair Voyager Mini has static wear leveling and lifetime warranty and Super Talent has durable solid-state storage but 1 year warrany. Here are others which i question:
Thanks. |
Patriot is a budget brand, and their products tend to be slow.
Slow memory cards, etc. Sometimes just not well made at all. Corsair is an excellent well-known memory (RAM chip) manufacturer. I didn't even know Corsair made USB flash drives. Their products should be very nice. This is what I would get. SuperTalent makes a number of small media devices, and I've never been fond of them. I feel like their hardware is overpriced, and there's no justification for it. Something like "static wear leveling" or "ECC 13-bit" may be unique, but I would bet it's simply labeling something for no reason. For example, if a computer came with specs, and one of them read "Powered by electricity" as if it were a feature. It's not -- it's how any unit functions. I don't have the answer to this off-hand, but I'm curious, and need to look into it. Transcend is one of the best memory card makers there is. Same for San Disk, Lexer, and Kingston. Anything made by those companies, for RAM/memory products, is bound to be nothing short of excellent. |
