I have a older external hp light scribe writer , not sure if it even works with my windows 7 but was wondering how do people feel about lightscribe and is it any good , Does it take a long time to burn a disc ? Does the burner's laser degrade with time and how is the media ? Are there good lightscribe media , is this even worth looking into ? sorry a lot of questions . I just ran across a disc that someone made for me and I thought it was professional it looked so good . I am most likely just going to type words , not pictures and thought maybe this is a good way to go then using a ink jet and going through a lot of ink .

edit-
Looks like it's way too old , LG 2006 , none of the software will install I have win 7 :(

There's always a chance that Windows XP or Vista software can install in Windows 7, bit you need to adjust the properties of the software first -- make it XP SP2, XP SP3, or Vista compatible first.

Old post, but thought the added info may be useful. ;)'

That said, like was never very good. It faded in time, and was like a dirty brown Daguerreotype.
