Who told you those Verbatim discs were made in Japan?

I read on the internet that the best dvd discs (maximum quality in the world) of DVDs were made in japan but my dvd verbatim is made in taiwan
|
AZO and other Verbatim discs have been made in Taiwan, Singapore, and India for a decade now. All Japanese companies including Verbatim, Taiyo-Yuden/JVC and others have outsourced disc manufacturing to other countries for years. If you are referring to Taiyo-Yuden/JVC, they are no longer made in Japan. I included a link to disc info in this forum. Please identify your information source.

All that matters is the media ID, not country of origin.
Excluding fakes, of course, but MCC hasn't been faked since the 4x/8x days. So not a worry here. |
the best media verbatim (the highest quality and durability) is manufactured in which country? Verbatim is the best Medias of the world? my dvd azo verbatim is 16x made in taiwan packed orange

MCC is made in Singapore, Taiwan (CMC plant), India (Moser Baer plant), and UAE (Falcon plant).
Notice that I said "plant", not by CMC/MBI/FTI. MCC has their own personnel, processes, etc. So it's not outsource media. It's just co-located at another facility. That happens often in other industries. Example: web hosting. I don't know if MCC still has the Singapore plant. That is/was the main facility where new media always came from. Mitsubishi has never made DVD media in Japan. Maybe for CD-R, but it's been probably 20 years. You bought the best media. Now use it. :) |
