Repair, refurbish 1640 BenQ DVD burner?

Does anyone have a recommendation for somewhere/someone to perform this service?
And is it worth it considering the quality of the current offerings?

Failing drives cannot be repaired, only replace.
The BenQ 1620 and 1640 were great testing drives, always sad to see one pass.
