And here I was grumbling Tuesday morning when I lost power for four hours (after the power company said to expect 30-60 minute rolling blackouts). The situation in the southern states (especially Texas) is awful.
Hope your services are restored soon, LordSmurf.

I now have limited internet, smart phone only, on a new phone carrier. Power is back, hopefully permanent. Finally had a hot meal today. Everything else still down.
To those waiting on gear, all mail is on hold, no services are running.
Will slowly reply to PMs and emails.

I am glad you're okay given how bad the crisis is down there--that's why they call it Tex-as!

It's a darn good thing that SOMEONE'S precious discs have not been stored in a box in a barn in the great State of Texas...

Another Texan here. Power was out 48 hours, broadband is still out, posting this via tethering to my smartphone. No frozen pipes, though...thank God for good insulation and an older home with pipes under the house in the crawl space.
