What motherboard for ATI 9800 Pro?
 

Just ordered a 9800pro an couple days ago and am willing to make the ultimate capture rig. I've been doing my research and I know that the ASRock 4core sata2 is a great board, but ive also heard that there can be problems with 9800pro on this board I guess thats because of a higher voltage. Now I know there are other ASRock boards, but I dont think they have sata2 so Im kind of at a dead end right now.

If anyone has been using a 9800pro please let me know what your rig is so I can figure out what to buy.

9800 Pro is a non-AIW graphics card. What exactly did you buy?

There's zero reason to get a 9800 for AIW capture, if motherboard issues. Use a different AIW in that case. But going from memory, I don't recall any 9800 on Asrock issues.

I got the ATI ALL IN WONDER 9800 PRO 128mb AGP 4x/8x. Is that not the right capture card? Luckily there is a 30 day return policy, but the box literally says it's an all in wonder card. It has the 8 pin video in with the adapter and stuff so I would assume it's the right one. If I'm not mistaken, the 9800 pro has the rage theatre chipset?
