Warning: Latest Firefox browser update!
 

says this and other forum sites I'm a member of, login info could be compromised.With a warning box right in the login page! What a bunch of doggy-doo!..but my Chrome browser on Andriod has no such warning.

Firefox has been in Paranoia City for several versions now (I'm purposely 4 versions behind). Thanks for the heads-up.

This is the latest farce/fake security being pushed by browsers. Any site not using SSL is suddenly deemed "unsafe". This "requirement" by these self-appointed "internet police" was announced last year, which didn't give site owners much time to adjust. A little blog is easy to fix, but complex sites with forums take more time and effort (and money). SSL by itself offers little security, and most breaches to sites (and thus stolen data) have nothing to do with SSL.

We've always invested our time into more formidable security concerns, not this. Adding SSL is something we have on the roadmap for this year, but it's not something that can be done yet.

Ignore the warning. It's nonsense. Chrome and IE have similar scary text and images.

Yes, kpmedia, I agree, no such "warnings" so far from Chrome browser on my Android, which I'm using more and more for simple replies and posts to forum based sites, but I noticed the "warnings" on my PC based Firefox browser when I need to log in and upload something...might need to dump Firefox on my Video PC and change to Chrome, which a PIA to do, but will do if needed.
