Can a Mitsubishi HS-HD2000U D-VHS fix tearing?

I had gotten one of these and I had seen that the JVC D VHS decks all can fix tearing, and then I had seen this VCR had the same TBC. Does that mean that the Mitsubishi will fix tearing? If Lord Smurf could respond to this, it would be great.
