I'm learning how to clean and prep photo prints, slides, and negatives for scanning. I was just going to purchase a lens cleaning kit, then I learned that might be a very bad idea.
So far on my list I have:
- Air duster cans (I already have several Walmart brand ones I use for my computer, will these work? ) Planning on using these for photo prints, will they work for slides and negatives?
- Pec Pads I plan on using these for slides and negatives
- This blower bulb for cleaning all 3 types (is there a better type of bulb I should be looking for?)
- This brush for photo prints
- This brush for slides and negatives (Maybe I just need one brush instead of two?)
I assume I'm going to need a soft antistatic cloth for cleaning prints? What would be a good option to look for? Like, would those flat microfiber brushes that are used for screens suffice? Or would I want one that is fuzzy so it can also act as a brush? Or maybe I shouldn't use a cloth on prints? I get different information for liquids and cloths on every forum and video I check out... Thoughts?
