Rooke question on scans and displayed image size

Bought an V19 Epson scanner and scanned a lot of photos of various sizes. When displayed on TV the displayed image size varies greatly.

seems I probably used the wrong scanner.

2 questions:
1. is there software that will normalize the displayed image size? I realize image quality will suffer.

2. what scanner would give high res scans of 4X6 or 5X7 photo prints?

3. what software will significantly improve the image quality on old matte prints? the glossy ones seem to scan much better.

thx to anyone taking the time to educate a rookie.

After a quick look at the scanner specs that unit should give you very high quality scans. You'd have to look at the settings you're using to do the scan as the quality of the output will depend on your settings. Don't assume the defaults will give you the highest quality.
