hi, it’s nice to be on this forum.

hi im just asking if anybody recognizes the brand of the synthesizer that was used to produce the wipes, transitions, and cuts in this video? it’s been difficult trying to look for the exact model. it was probably discontinued at some point too

Probably Video Toaster.
DataVideo SE-500 can maybe do some of that, too.

1989 is too early for the Video Toaster. Likely an analog switcher like the Panasonic WJ-5600, which can do chromakeying. I have a Sony "Digital" Betamax deck (SL-HF860D) from 1988 that could do the multi-part, slo-mo, and zoom functions in the VCR. Maybe it was made with that or a similar VHS deck. One could loop video thru it and capture the effects without having to record to tape.
