Sony ev-c2000e supply spools

1 Attachment(s)
Hi there - I have a Sony EV-C2000E Hi8 machine and the supply spool has cracked! (see attachment)
Apparently this is a known problem but I can't find anywhere to get the spare parts..

The parts:
Supply spool (left) X39429541
Takeup spool (right) X39429532

Can anyone help me with the parts (or even better a repair) so that I can get this machine back up and running again??

Thanks!

You will not find those parts, You will have to find another deck and hope it has one that is not cracked or repair it:

Nylon gear? Wonder if this approach would work to repair it.

Possibly some 3D printing could recreate one, I see a lot of that stuff appearing these days. Not sture what strength can be obtained.

Thanks for the youtube videos latreche34 - this is what I feared!
If I found another machine I'd be quite concerned that it was just a matter of time until the spool cracked again. Such a shame the parts are no longer available ... the rest of the machine works perfectly!

3D printed parts are very brittle and that part gets a lot of mechanical stress so most likely won't work even with ABS filament.
