VHS player stops playing after 1-2 seconds?

I have an old VHS player that was laying around for a while. Recently, I bought Elgato video capture adapter and I wanted to digitize the few tapes I have by transferring them to my laptop.

Fast forward until I inserted the first tape into my VHS: after pressing play, the tape starts properly in the VHS player (although no image was yet shown on my laptop). One or two seconds pass and the video tape stops rotating (please see video below, it's easily noticeable). I repeated the same thing with two or three more tapes, and the same problem happened.

I know that the cause could be related to many things, however, I'm enthusiastic about trying to fix the player myself. Can someone help me to pin point maybe one or two things which could be the probable cause for the problem?

Thank you.

How do you expect someone to help you without even making an effort to post the model number of the VCR?

Post the model number of the VCR.

As noted above you need to provide make and model as a minimum.

The video is underexposed and there is a bit too much camera movement to see what is going on. However, it sort of looks like the tape may not be fully loading resulting in a time-out eject. That can be caused by many issues depending on the design of the mechanism.

Are there any error messages/numbers on the display?

Never run tests of functionality with an important tape in case the VCR eats it.
