Is it possible to replace the S-Video socket?
 

I have a JVC HR-S9900U which works fine except that I have to jiggle the S-Video cable just right to get a stable picture. I've tried different cables but they all produce the same result. Problem is that once I get the cable just right it won't stay that way for long so it's next to impossible to get a tape to play.

Is there a way to replace the S-Video socket? Since I never use the S-Video In on this VCR I thought about trying to swap the 2 sockets, or otherwise just replacing the bad one. Has anyone ever done this who can maybe walk me through the process or offer some advice? Thanks.
