Mini vacuum for electronics?
 

I have nice vcr that has a fine layer of dust inside. How might I remove the dust? Simple gentle compressed air I think is helpful but insufficient.
Would a mini vac be a good tool!

Vacuum won't help, dust is stuck.
Fine brush to loosen dirt. I have artist brushes for fine dusting.
Then compressed air. Not too close, in case of liquid spew, bad for heads, certain other components.
Outside, not inside, or will just be back in the VCR in no time.

Hi, I know this is an old post, but I have a great and affordable alternative to canned air. (I think this falls under the category of "update" for necroposting. If it doesn't, mods feel free to delete my post.)

Years ago a friend recommended a name-brand dust blower for cleaning PC's. However, it was in the hundred's and I couldn't justify the price. Canned air is useless to me, and I've heard bad stories about the cheap dust blowers (they're too weak.) However, years later I read in an obscure comment somewhere that the XPOWER series of blowers were much more affordable, and very impressive. So when my other buddy needed one, I suggested it. Lo and behold it's very powerful and works amazing, and you can get the newest model (A-2S) for $29 refurbished direct on ebay.

Now what to do with this useless canned air...
