Sigh.

I'm realigning this K Mechanism. Instructions say it all depends on having the system in "Cassette Down" mode.

But they never explain what that is nor how to (manually or otherwise) get the mechanics into that mode.

What am I missing???

what it means, is the position the transport mechanism is in, when the VHS tape is in the PLAY position, its a bugger, to keep it there, unless you remove the carriage springs, that want to bring it back up, into the ejected position, but , just put your finger into the slot that the tape goes in, and trigger the saftey catches, as you manually push the loading dock inward, until it is positioned in the Play mode, (inward and down), (without power of course) LOL
