VCR/DVD combo has no video output?

Brand: ESA
Model: E4000

Issue: No video from either a DVD or VHS. Occasionally, some sound will come through, but that's all the signal I've gotten. I've tried multiple TVs, composite and coaxial cables with no success or variation in results.
