JVC HR-S5700AM overheating issue?

3 Attachment(s)
My JVC HR-S5700AM would only last about 30 seconds before turning itself off, in order to turn it on again I would have to turn it off and on again at the power point.

I opened the player up in order to see why it was turning off only after 30 seconds, the heatsink seemed to be quite hot.

After I opened the vcr, I had a fan blowing onto the heatsink, which managed to keep the vcr running for about an hour.

I've since dissasembled the vcr and taken out the main circuit board.
None of the capacitors seem to have leaked.

Does anyone have any suggestions of what might be causing the issue or can fix the issue.

I have attached the service manual for the vcr, and also a photo of the power supply area of the main PCB board. The pcb looks a bit milky after being wiped down with Isopropyl alcohol.

Check the main power section capacitors, A capacitor can go bad or shorts itself out without leaking. Leaking is not the only symptom of bad capacitors.
