JVC HR-S6800U Power Supply Woes
 

I'm working on a power supply for a JVC HR-S6800U and it is getting the best of me.

Originally, it would power on but turn off after a few seconds. I replaced all the capacitors in the power supply and one zener diode that was badly corroded, couldn't find the exact match but I think it was a 30V diode. This fixed it for a while, It played a couple tapes for half an hour and after ejecting a tape it completely died on me. Now it doesn't even show the clock when plugged in it's completely dead.

Any ideas on where to start troubleshooting next? I'm thinking maybe to check the transistors for the switching operation?
