Panasonic AG-W1 distorted video?
1 Attachment(s)
Likely some repair is needed. Anyone have any idea about a possible fix ?
Thanks |
No way to really tell from that, but since half of the image is kind of missing at any given time, would imagine a couple of the video heads are dirty or are just broken.*Could also be cracked solder where the heads are soldered onto a PCB if it uses that design. Could also be that tracking is super poorly aligned.

Do you get full pictures in fast forward/Pause modes ?

No. The distorted video will ripple across the whole screen as it play along. Pause or FF won't show the video , I get "No signal" on the app.

possible solution (but yeah really clean the heads first):

The cleanup of heads and captions didn't help unfortunately. Maybe some electronic component is bad i guess

These standard converter VCRs are useless for capturing anyway, In my opinion it is not worth spending time and money trying to fix it.
