Service manual for JVC SR-W5 SR-W5U?
Anyone happen to have the service manual for the HR-W5 or HR-W5U?
There possibly is a link to what I need here, but HifiEngine.com site requires you to login and is not allowing for new registrations: https://www.hifiengine.com/manual_li...vc/sr-w5.shtml If you happen have a login to hifiengine already and can download and post what is linked there, that would be extremely appreciated. If it is just the "Video Technical Guide" - that isn't what I'm looking for as that really just talks about the theory of operation and doesn't include board schematics and deck assembly/mechanism timing information that I'd need. Thanks in advance to anyone that can help! |
I can login but I only see the SR-W5/U.

That's my bad, should be SR-W5 or SR-W5U that I need or both service manuals if they have them. JVC/Victor should have really come up with some more memorable naming schemes haha.

They only have one manual, and I think it's just a technical guide not a service manual:

Darn. that's kind of what I figured it might be. Thanks for posting anyway!

Based on this archived eBay auction: https://www.worthpoint.com/worthoped...vice-138070725
The JVC part number (?) for the SR-W5U service manual seems to be 82605. Only place I see it available for order is here, for $55: https://www.ued.net/ued/viewItemActi...de=JVCNO.82605 Which says "The projected shipping date of this item is 01/09/25" There's also a product page on this site but it's marked "discontinued" and not available for purchase: https://www.pacparts.com/part.cfm?part_no=82605&mfg=JVC |
I've seen the likes of that second link, they will say a projected date but when you place an order, they will cancel it, assuming it's a legit website and not some sort of fake one.
