VTC-9100A video adjust tracking?
 

Hello- im restoring this beta player and have changed all belts and rubber but playback is still wonky.. adjusting tracking really screws it up. I added a video. I'd be interested to get some opinions. thanks!

could be a capstan issue imo, the signal is coming and going maybe as simple as lack of lube maybe not.

It can help if you include the sound track. It can give information as to the stability of tape travel. But that slow drift out of picture sync suggests a capstan speed lock issue. Is the lower part of the audio/control head's face clean?

That looks like quite an early model.

hey thanks I can add a audio as well as a clip of the tape path. I believe I cleaned everything but can check again. Yeah I know haha not always a good thing.
