Sony EV-C8U eject issue, noise?
 

I recently got a Sony Mini 8 camcorder set, and The camcorder itself seems to be working ( I have to check the tape to be sure), but when I went to plug in the tape deck that was with the camera I turned it on and it seems like its trying to rewind a non existant tape, and then flashes the light near the eject button and will not eject. Power cycling does nothing, removing the ac battery adapter and cycling does nothing, I cant find anything on how to open the casing properly and the 4 screws that I thought would be holding the thing together after removal still did not let the case open. Any ideas or diagnoses/fix tips?
