DataVideo TBC-100, 1000, 3000, 5000, 7000 Time Base Corrector user manuals [DL]

Just in case anybody ever needs them, here are the official manuals for the various timebase correctors made and sold by Data Video.

Attached files include PDFs for
  • TBC-100 - PCI card version of TBC-1000, powered by computer motherboard, without distribution amp
  • TBC-1000 - enclosed metal box with frame synchronizer TBC, four outputs (distribution amp for composite and s-video)
  • TBC-3000 - dual-input TBC frame sync with mild proc amp controls (similar to AVT-8710)
  • TBC-5000 - like four TBC-100's in one box, but allows external gen lock, made with external switch in mind
  • TBC-7000 - like TBC-3000 with another input, with chroma keying abilities for studio work
This is admittedly a somewhat simple definition of the full feature sets of these TBCs.

However, if you're reading this, you're one of two people:
  1. You have no clue what I'm talking about. This means you're probably shopping for a TBC, or trying to figure out what a TBC is. In this case, you want a TBC-1000, if you're wanting to buy DataVideo products. Don't even bother trying to figure out what those other models are for.
  2. You already know about TBCs in a studio setting, and there's really nothing extra that I could tell you. In fact, there's a chance you know more than I do about studio editing.
Just trying to archive some things that may help our community members. Thanks! :)

Thanks a BUNCH! This is fun to look through if nothing else. I have quite the collection of manuals of gear I've owned / want to own / or just want to read about [8]

EDIT: In fact, if you'd like any of them for posting I'd be happy to provide or post myself somewhere. Some of these could be provided as direct links to JVC I suppose or found with a google search, but I'll list them anyways.

I have:

Sign-Video DR-1000 Detailer
Sign-Video - PA-100/PA-200 Color Corrector (and an older Studio 1 version)
JVC DR-M100S DVD recorder
JVC HR-S7600U VCR
JVC SR-V101US VCR
JVC SR-VD400US DVHS
JVC SR-W5U User Manual and the Technical Manual
Panasonic DMR-ES10 DVD Recorder

Oh, nice.
Make three new threads. One for JVC, one for SignVideo/Studio1, one for Panasonic.
Each would have an appropriate title ("Manuals for JVC video gear used for restoring video" would work, as an example).
Post all of them in there.

Remember you can only attach 8MB at a time. In the upload window, just add 8MB or less, let those upload, add 8MB more, repeat as needed. No more than 15 or so attachments per one post. No limits on attachments per thread (at this point in time -- not been an issue to limit).

And THANKS! :)

Great, thanks for the reminders on the rules of the game as well, I'll go do it now.
