Elite Video BVP4+ UK Power adapter

Hello all,

just picked up a BVP4+ from ebay. it came with power adapter (US plug).

my question to UK owners is : should i use the supplied adapter with a Stepdown transformer ? or because the BVP4+ works on a 9v power supply , try to find a "low ripple" 9v supply with UK plug.

i have seen elsewhere on these forums, the Panasonic KX-A11 adapter is available from the US Panasonic site, but cant seem to find one on a UK site.

If any UK user has the BVP4+ working in the UK , please advise what power adapter i need.

many thanks,

Powellfan

Step transformers can be very dirty power-wise, and cause on-screen visual signal distortions. So be careful about whatever device you choose to buy. If you're positive that the unit will run on a UK 220-240V system, and not fry the unit, then get a low-ripple power supply of appropriate watts/volts.

However, I didn't think the BVP-4 was made for UK power. (I could be wrong. I just don't want to be blame for a charbroiled BVP4!)

Lordsmurf,

thanks for the kind reply.
i think i will try the 9v with a uk plug , rather than the stepdown transformer.

thanks again,

Let us know what you ended up with, maybe even where you bought it. :)
